An eight-year-old boy drowned to death in a drain on Tuesday, police said.
The boy, Shankar, a resident of Naya Gaon, was passing through the village and when he accidentally fell into the drain along the main road, Noida, Phase 2, SHO, Shawez Khan said.

A police team rushed there but the boy died before he could be pulled out, he said. The child’s body has been sent for post-mortem, he said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Ankit Singh said they were informed about the unidentified female body wrapped in a blanket tied to a stone lying in a drain near Nirmal Dham.
A key highlight of the project is the modernization of Noida’s Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC), which will serve as the central hub for monitoring and coordination.
